Nintendo All-Stars Battle Royale

Just an old-fashioned brawl. My first take on an illustrated piece. Mr GW is my favorite to use, rockin the boat with his final smash. The original piece was just Ike, Snake, GW, and Link (fav.me/d53n78p) but there much more room to work with. This took a while but the main problem came from Ike... not even the boat. I redrew him far too many times (fav.me/d53n7il).

I used actual 3d models in blender as ref, it really helped a lot with the boat and the Starfox crew, though there's a difference in detail with what I had and the boat in the stage. Perhaps it was a trophy of the actual boat in wind waker. Toon Link was the quickest, completed in about a half hour or less and i added the minish cap too.
